  • What are the benefits of massage treatments?
I specialise in relaxation massage, my goal is for you to leave your treatment feeling calm, relaxed and rejuvenated, but massage has a number of benefits for your mind and body: Massage has been proven to aid in reducing stress & anxiety, improving your quality of sleep and easing muscular pain and tension. It also aids in removing toxins, improving your immune function, reducing fluid-retention, increasing range of motion, improving circulation, lowering blood pressure and much more.
  • How will I feel after my treatment?
You should leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, however it isn't uncommon for clients to experience a few minor side effects, especially if you aren't used to having massage treatments or haven't had one in a while. During a treatment we are not only working your muscles but releasing toxins, improving circulation and stimulating your lymphatic system. It is natural to experience some affects from this, including mild dizziness and nausea, headaches, tiredness, aches and emotional releases. After your treatment I will discuss some important aftercare which will help limit and reduce these side effects
  • What would stop me from getting a massage?
To ensure your wellbeing and avoid any discomfort, I would recommend you do not book for a treatment if you are: - In your first trimester of pregnancy - Have recently undergone surgery or have a recent injury - Have an infectious condition (including colds and flu!) - Have a heart condition, thrombosis, cancer or a nervous system disorder You should never attend an appointment while under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • What should I wear and how much should I remove for a treatment?
If you are having a full body treatment, it is easiest for your therapist if you remove all top layers of clothing, you should always keep on your underwear and you can wear shorts if you wish to. You will be covered with a towel for the duration of the session and I will only expose the areas I need to work on. If you are wearing a bra, I can unhook this when I come to work on your back and shoulders if you would rather leave it on, though most people find it more comfortable to remove it. When facing upwards, you will be fully covered with a towel. A sports bra without a clasp would need to be removed before starting the treatment. If you are unsure or uncomfortable about removing any items of clothing, please let me know before we begin so that we can walk through it together.
  • Will you leave the room when I undress?
Yes of course. Your comfort and privacy is of upmost importance, I will explain exactly what to remove and how to lie on the table for your treatment and will either leave the room or step behind a privacy screen while you dress. I won't re-enter until you let me know you are ready.
  • What do I do if I’m self conscious about my body and am not comfortable about being undressed?
We all have insecurities about our bodies, it is my job to make you feel as comfortable as possible. The only part of your body which will be exposed will be the area that I am working on at the time and if you are asked to move face up/onto your back I will look away and ensure there is a towel or blanket covering you. If you are uncomfortable about being undressed at all, we can discuss ways to work around this until you feel comfortable. Whatever your body type, size, condition, everyone is welcome.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments need to be cancelled within 48 hours. This can be done through your original booking or by contacting us through our online contact form. If you cancel within less than 48 hours or fail to show up for your appointment, then a £15 deposit will be kept.
  • Can I book for a friend?
