Massage Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of massage therapy services provided by Anastasia Smith ("the Therapist") at Anastasia Massage Therapy ("the Business")
1. Services Provided
The Therapist offers massage therapy services aimed at promoting relaxation, stress relief, and general well-being. It is important to note that the Therapist is not a medical professional and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
2. Appointment Policy
A consultation will be conducted before your first treatment with the Therapist. By completing the consultation form, you are confirming that the information you provided us correct and that, as far as you are aware, you can undertake treatment without any adverse effects. Clients are asked to arrive on time for their scheduled appointments to ensure the full treatment time can be provided. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session to avoid impacting other clients, and the full fee will still apply. If a client is more than 15 minutes late, the appointment may need to be rescheduled at the Therapist’s discretion.
3. Cancellation Policy
Clients are required to schedule appointments in advance. Appointments are not booked unless confirmation is received in the form of an automated email or direct communication from the Therapist. A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required for appointment cancellations. If an appointment is cancelled in less than 48 hours, the non-refundable deposit will be retained by the Business. If you fail to show up to your appointment with no notice, the full cost of the session is payable. While the Therapist makes every effort to keep all appointments, there may be rare occasions where a cancellation or rescheduling is necessary due to illness, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the Client will be contacted as soon as possible and offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund if any payment has been made.
3. Health and Safety
Clients are responsible for disclosing any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or allergies to the Therapist before receiving massage therapy services. By booking a session, clients confirm that all health information provided is accurate and up to date. The Therapist is not liable for any injury or adverse reaction resulting from undisclosed or inaccurate information. Clients experiencing symptoms of contagious illnesses (e.g., cold, flu, COVID-19, or skin infections) must reschedule their appointment. The Therapist reserves the right to refuse or modify services based on the client’s health status, any contraindications, or if symptoms of illness are present upon arrival. Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment, and clients with serious health conditions are advised to consult their healthcare provider prior to booking. Informed consent must be given before treatment begins, and either the Therapist or Client may pause or terminate the session at any time for any reason, including discomfort, pain, or concern.
4. Confidentiality
All client information and conversations during massage therapy sessions are strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without the client's consent, except as required by law.
5. Liability
While the Therapist takes all reasonable precautions to provide safe, professional, and effective massage therapy services, clients acknowledge that massage therapy may involve physical touch and certain inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle soreness, bruising, allergic reactions (e.g., to oils or lotions), and the aggravation of existing injuries or conditions. By proceeding with treatment, clients voluntarily assume all such risks and agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Therapist and the Business from any and all liability, claims, or damages arising out of or connected to their massage therapy session, including injuries or adverse effects that occur during or after the session. This waiver applies to all current and future treatments provided by the Therapist or any representatives of the Business. Additionally, clients are responsible for their own personal belongings during appointments. The Business is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items, including clothing or other property that may be affected by massage oils or equipment used during the session.
6. Payment
A deposit is taken for online bookings with the remaining balance payable at the end of the appointment. For bookings made in person, a deposit may also still be required. Accepted forms of payment include cash, credit/debit cards, or other methods as agreed upon by the Therapist and the client. Failure to pay the deposit when required may result in the cancellation or rescheduling of the appointment.
7. Gift Vouchers
Gift Vouchers are available as physical and electronic options. These expire 6 months after purchase or on the date displayed on the voucher. Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or extended beyond the expiry date.
8. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
The Therapist reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms and Conditions on the Business's website.
